An ordinance to extend the temporary overlay zoning district titled as <br />Division 34-41 “JDO” Joint Development Zoning Overlay of Chapter 34 of the <br />Municipal Code of the City of University City, relating to zoning, containing a savings <br />clause and providing a penalty. <br /> <br />Introduced by Mr. Glickert <br />BILL 9163 – <br />3. An ordinance amending Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City <br />of University City, Missouri relating to zoning districts thereof a new official zoning <br />map, thereby amending said map so as to change the classification of property at <br />6255 and 6263 Delmar Boulevard from “CC”-Core Commercial District to “PD-M” <br />Planned Development-Mixed Use District; and 6322 Enright Avenue, 701 and 707 <br />Eastgate Avenue, and 700 Limit Avenue from “HR”- High Density residential District <br />to “PD-M” Planned Development-Mixed Use District; and establishing permitted land <br />uses and developments therein; containing a savings clause and providing a <br />penalty. <br /> <br />O. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION <br />Jan Adams, 7150 Cambridge Avenue <br />Ms. Adams stated she was re-submitting her public comments that were submitted at <br />the last council meeting because they were not made public in the usual customary <br />manner. She requested that her three comments be made a part of the minutes of this <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel <br />Ms. Glickert stated she has heard from residents who have filled out applications for <br />Boards and Commissions but never receive a call from a Councilmember. She urged <br />the Council to look at the applications citizens submit, as they are interested in <br />becoming involved in the City. Ms. Glickert noted that Councilmembers do not have to <br />appoint their friends but rather appoint people who are willing and capable. <br /> <br />P. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Mayor Welsch mentioned that September 11, 2012, there will be a discussion on “To <br />Kill a Mockingbird” in conjunction with the School District of University City which will <br />be held on Tuesday evening prior to showing of the movie at Fogerty Park on <br />Saturday, September 15, 2012. The movie was underwritten by Washington <br />University. Mayor Welsch also mentioned that on September 15, 2012, the City is <br />sponsoring a Resource Fair and Yard sale at the Heman Park Parking Lot from 8:00 <br />a.m. to 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow extended his congratulations to Joe Edwards and Blueberry Hill for their 40 <br />year birthday and anniversary celebration. He also thanked Mr. Walker and Chief <br />Adams for the crime information report stating it was very beneficial. Mr. Crow also <br />congratulated Chief Adams and the Police Department for their diligent investigative <br />work which lead to the arrest of the two men in the murder of Destiny Clemmons. He <br />asked for clarification from Mr. Walker regarding the next step of the agreement on the <br />Joint Development Task Force with Olivette. <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br /> <br />
