Adams, Jr. <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br /> <br />Mrs. Betty L. <br /> <br />Absent: Oouncilmember George R. Cotton, who was excused. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of tb~ March 20, 1995, minutes as submitted. Mr. <br />A~ms seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OATHS OF OFFTCR. <br /> <br />The following new appointees w~re given the oath of office by the City Clerk: <br />Sheila Myers (Historic Preservation C~m,,~ssion); Sheldon L. Smith (t.~hrary <br />Board); Jennifer Gross and Curtis L. Minor (Municipal C~mL.~ssion on Arts and <br />Letters); William Gleiber (Traffic C~-~ission); and Ralph O. Bowser (Univer- <br />sity City Redevelopment Authority). <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus thanked_ the new members, noting that the Council depends great- <br />ly on the reo~ier~___ations that cc~e f~-cm~ the boards and c~m~dssions. <br /> <br />RFWORP FRE~ ~I~~ UN1-VFRSI~i~ RI~I~RI~Mk~ITATTV~, <br /> <br />Mr. Michael Rodman, Washington University student representative to the City <br />Council, said the University has a new chancellor, Dr. Mark Wrighton, who is <br />exceptionally w~11 qualified and anxious to learn about the university and <br />s~rrcunding co--ties. Mr. Rodman said this is his last meeting, as a new <br />representative will be elected in a few days. He thanked Council for their <br />help this year in his ~est to increase student safety. Mayor Majerus said <br />Mr. Rodman has accomplished an enormous amount in a short time and will be <br />greatly m~.~ed. Mr. Wagner thanked Mr. Rodman for his excellent work, wished <br />him the best in the future, and asked him to cc~e back for a visit. Mrs. <br />Schuman agreed Mr. Rodman h~ done a fine job, adding that the U. City Con- <br />nection student group from Washington University was extremely active during <br />the pre-election campaign aimed at passing Proposition R (expansion of recy- <br />cling). Mrs. ~hompson also c~m~ended Mr. Rodman as having been an outstand- <br />ing student representative for Washington University. <br /> <br /> <br />
