Session 1638, M~ Page 5 <br />April 10, 1995 <br /> <br />Mr. Adams moved approval, Mr. ~ ~ the motion, and all voted Aye <br /> <br /> Personnel report for the w~ek ending April 1, 1995, was received and or- <br />dered filed. <br /> <br />Mr. James Greene, 6261 Clemens, said he was a new resident and was surprised <br />to find a ticket on his personal truck for parking on the street overnight. <br /> <br />prohibiting overnight ~ parking. He felt he should not have to pay the <br />$10 fine; he also felt he should not have to pay $50 ($25 for an application <br />and $25 for a permit) to park his truck on the street. He pointed out that <br />larger v~hicles can park without being ticketed. Mayor Majerus said truck <br />parking information should have been given to Mr. Greene with his occupancy <br />permit. Mr. Greene said this law is not fair and should be amended. <br /> <br />Mr. ~mms said he b~-~ received a number of cc~plaints recently about this law <br />and perhaps it was again time to see if there are any solutions. <br /> <br />The City Clerk said this resolution urges the Missouri State Legislature to <br />defeat Senate Bill 176 (allc~ing concealed w~apons) or subnit it to the peo- <br />ple of M{~ouri for a vote. Mrs. Schuman found it curious that SB 176, which <br />would allow ordinary citizens to carry concealed weapons, forbids anyone in <br />state offices or the State Legislature to do so. Mr. Schoomer moved approval <br />by acclamation. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />~he City Clerk said this resolution urges the Missouri Senate to defeat Sen- <br />ate Bill 307, which would el'~ninate monetary cape on municipal liability. <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval and Mr. Adams seconded the motion. All voted Aye. <br /> <br />The City Clerk said this proclamation designates the week of April 24-28 as <br />YC~A St. Louis Oounty Head Start Week. A special ceremony will be bmld at <br />10:00 a.m. on April 24 at the Daniel Boone School. Mrs. ~ moved ap- <br />p~-cwal.
