<br /> <br /> MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY HALL <br />6801 Delmar Blvd. <br />City of University City, Missouri 63130 <br />August 27, 2012 <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held on the fifth floor of City Hall, <br />on Monday, August 27, 2012, Mayor Shelley Welsch called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Byron Price <br />Ms. Paulette Carr <br />Mr. Stephen Kraft <br />Mr. Terry Crow <br />Mr. Michael Glickert <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also in attendance was the City Manager Lehman Walker. <br /> <br />C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Mr. Price moved to amend the agenda to include discussion of the crime happening in <br />University City under Council Reports/Business, was seconded by Mr. Glickert and the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />D. PROCLAMATIONS <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />E. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />1. <br /> The minutes of August 13, 2012, City Council Study Session was moved for approval <br />by Mr. Sharpe, was seconded by Mr. Glickert and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. <br /> The minutes of August 13, 2012, City Council Regular Session was moved for <br />approval by Mr. Sharpe and was seconded by Mr. Kraft. <br /> <br />Ms. Carr asked to amend the minutes on July 23, 2012, to reflect an amendment <br />made by her to insert Mr. Glickert’s comments on his intention to make a motion <br />regarding RFP for a Traffic Study. The July 23, 2012 minutes had been changed <br />previously according to Ms. Carr’s amendment at the August 13, 2012, Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> Mr. Glickert amended the price he quoted for the cost to resurface Parking Lot #4 with <br />a new cost of over $600,000 as provided by the Public Works Department. <br /> <br /> Mr. Price requested clarification regarding the $600,000 cost. <br /> <br />Mr. Walker stated a more specific cost was $644,000 and asked the Director of Public <br />Works and Parks Mr. Rich Wilson to provide a detailed cost for resurfacing Park Lot <br />#4. Mr. Wilson stated the original estimate in the Capital Improvement Plan was <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
