A copy of the presentation is available on the City’s website <br />under Public Documents/ Boards and Commissions/Task Forces/Bike and Walkability <br />Task Force: Draft Complete Streets Public Meeting - Slides. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brot made a motion for the City to adopt Complete/Livable Street <br />Ordinance, seconded by Commissioner Womack and unanimously approved. <br /> <br />4. Council Liaison Report – Councilmember Carr. <br /> <br />Councilmember Carr provided the following comments: <br /> <br />A. Councilmember Carr expressed her opinion in the Complete / Livable Streets <br />Ordinance. <br />B. Councilmember Carr expressed her opinion on additional training to the Traffic <br /> <br />Commission. <br /> <br />5. University City Traffic Commission Bylaws Revision. <br /> <br />The proposed revision to the University City Traffic Commission bylaws was presented for <br />comments and approval. It was requested by Commissioner Womack to postpone this <br />approval to allow time for the commissioners to review the amendments to the Bylaws. <br /> <br />6. FYI - Traffic and Parking Study Delmar Loop. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wofsey presented the summary of the items discussed at the Traffic and <br />Parking Study in the Delmar Loop meeting held on October 9, 2012 to define the scope of <br />the project. Commissioner Wofsey described the meeting as a “brainstorming” meeting to <br />collect public input on all the questions and issues to be incorporated in a traffic study to <br />address short term solutions related to both traffic and parking in the study area. Some of <br />the traffic items include the change of Delmar Blvd from an arterial to a main street, the <br />ability to close Delmar for special events, identifying the need for the traffic signals, <br />studying the impacts of the construction of the Roundabout and the Trolley Project, <br />including the interaction between Trolley-vehicles-bikes-pedestrians, the potential for bike <br />lanes on Delmar Blvd, residential traffic flows and queue analysis at intersections with <br />Delmar Blvd and the possibility to eliminate Loop North Road to expand Parking Lot# 4. <br />The items related to parking include City Hall master plan parking, parking supply and <br />demand study, elimination of Loop South as paid parking, loading zones and on-street <br />accessible parking. <br /> <br />7. Miscellaneous Business <br /> <br />Ms. Elsie Glickert, resident at 6712 Etzel Ave expressed her concern about vehicles <br />speeding in the Municipal Parking lot #4, and requested for the City to look at the option to <br />install either Stop Signs or Yield Signs. <br /> <br />Traffic Commission Minutes – October 10, 2012 Page 3 <br /> <br />
