Other Business Public Comments
Mr. Halpert asked if there were any comments from the public. There were none.

Reports

Code Review Committee Report
None

Comprehensive Plan Committee Report
Ms. Riganti stated that funds had been received for consultants for the Comprehensive Plan and
the Comprehensive Plan Committee needed to convene for the committee to discuss. She stated
she would need input on meeting dates and would send an email to committee members. She
stated it could be done at the same time as working on this Plan [Parkview Gardens] and they
needed to get started.

Department Report
Mr. Lai stated that the I-170/Olive Boulevard Joint Redevelopment Implementation Committee
(JRIC) have been meeting with Olivette and University City working together toward an
intergovernmental agreement. He stated that they have been reviewing draft material to be
incorporated into the agreements to be presented to the City Council.

Mr. Lai stated that regarding the JDO Joint Development Zoning Overlay, less than one year
ago there was an extension granted and that the expiration was coming in September. Olivette
has proposed a new zoning district due to some development pressure on the Olivette side and
their City Council would like something more permanent. He stated that he thought it would be
better for University City to consider an extension, since there was no development pressure
now, than creating a brand new zoning district that would take longer to consider and was
inclined to ask the Plan Commission and City Council to consider extending it for another 240
days. So, while the intergovernmental agreement process was moving forward, there was still
something to fall back on. He stated that staff would be scheduling a Code Review Committee
meeting and would send an email and check schedules.

Mr. Senturia asked if it would be considered at the August Plan Commission meeting or
September meeting.

Mr. Lai stated August.

development near Delmar and Delcrest; that there were issues with a tenant in the existing
building and it had delayed the process; the developer requested an extension of the three
Conditional Use Permits approved last year and this past Monday the City Council granted a
one-year extension for them. He stated this did not require Plan Commission involvement, only
City Council approval, but there might be additional information for this project that involves the
Plan Commission later on.

tm;
E
