<br />Mr. Lai stated that the text amendment related to political signs was approved by the City <br />Council also. <br /> <br />Ms. Locke stated that with the political races occurring and issues involving payday lenders, she <br />had gotten a call at home that University City is approving new payday loan businesses. <br /> <br />Mr. Lai stated that last year a proposed text amendment was reviewed but no changes to the <br />Zoning Code were approved. <br /> <br />Council Liaison Report <br />Ms. Carr stated that the issue had been raised about what City Council had said about parking in <br />The Loop. She stated that what City Council said was that they would like Parking Lot 4 to <br />remain free surface parking with no structures and they would like to start a conversation with <br />the Loop Special Business District to work toward creating a solution. She stated there was a <br />meeting today and a long-term lease of the lot was proposed. She stated that people had said <br />they were getting a free ride and they wanted to secure the lot for a period of time and contribute <br />to the use of the lot.
