<br />Mr. Halpert proposed to go down the table and ask each in attendance their thoughts, beginning <br />with Ms. Carr. <br /> <br />Ms. Carr mentioned the parking study done under Julie Feier, looking to put parking meters in <br />the lot. She asked if that study could possibly be made available to the Commission. <br /> <br />Ms. Riganti asked if she was referring to the one by Petree Eastman. <br /> <br />Ms. Carr confirmed and stated it could be a place to start. <br /> <br />Mr. Halpert asked Ms. Carr about the language just read. <br /> <br />Ms. Carr had no comments. <br /> <br />Ms. Locke asked about item 3 and that the issue of security did not come up specifically in the <br />City Council discussion. She stated that part of what the Commission was doing was <br />recommending what w <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. Carr asked Ms. Locke if she was suggesting that the parking and traffic study currently <br />proposed should include safety. <br /> <br />heard from merchants and other citizens was that structured parking causes fear, but it was <br />speculation with no data. She stated that was something that would be useful to have data. She <br />asked if there was something inherently perceived in a parking structure that could undermine <br />our goals. <br /> <br />Mr. Senturia stated that, in terms of perception, the argument was made that women would not <br />use underground parking or structured parking. He stated that, rather than guessing, we should <br />find out. <br /> <br />Mr. Halpert stated that, regarding item 3, on edit could be that we refer to what City Council did <br />regarding the study. <br /> <br />Ms. Moran stated she thought it should all be referenced, all that City Council passed was a <br />request for qualifications. <br /> <br />Mr. Halpert asked if the Commission wanted to integrate the recent developments from the City <br /> <br /> <br />The Plan Commission members agreed. <br /> <br />Ms. Locke asked how to get at the issue of the different phases, how to ask staff to recommend. <br />She asked if there were phases of the Plan that could be approved that would remain consistent <br />with the language. <br /> <br />tm;  šE <br /> <br /> <br />
