She said <br />they now are recruiting volunteers to serve on the committee in the University City area. <br /> <br />Chris Lhotak, 963 Gay Avenue, spoke as the U City resident representing the Juvenile <br />Conference Committee for University City, of which he would serve as chair. Mr. <br />Lhotak gave a brief history of his background and provided the requirement to be on the <br />committee. The members must be at least twenty-one years of age, they would have a <br />full background check and hours of training would be provided by the Family Court. Mr. <br />Lhotak stated the committee meets to hear cases once a month and that it is very <br />important to have volunteers representing the whole community. He said that the <br />program is very meaningful and good for the community. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow thanked the representatives from Family Court of St. Louis County and noted <br />that Chris was a very dedicated person to chair the University City committee. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert agreed with Mr. Crow and said it seemed like a great program and all his <br />questions were answered with their great response, but also asked why the family court <br />waited so long to get to University City. <br /> <br />Ms. Myers stated that the court moves into a number of areas at a time. The Court <br />looks at the rate of delinquency in an area and makes their determination from that. <br /> <br />2. Liquor License Application Form for Council’s review. Mr. Walker stated that there were <br />minor modifications made to the application form to ensure the identity of the applicant. <br />The form has been approved by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />3. Liquor License for Dao Tien, 8600 Olive Boulevard for beer and wine with no Sunday <br />sales. The staff recommended approval of the Liquor License for Dao Tien, 8600 Olive <br />Boulevard for beer and wine with no Sunday sales. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved to approve the liquor license for Dao Tien, was seconded by Mr. <br />Glickert and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />4. Copier contract approving continuation with Copying Concepts that provided a savings <br />of $4370.40. The staff recommended approval. Mr. Walker stated that staff had been <br />very diligent in looking to find cost savings that could be achieved. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved to approve the renewal of Copying Concepts copier contract and <br />was seconded by Ms. Carr. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert asked how it would affect the legislative budget by continuation of the <br />contract. <br /> <br />Ms. Pumm stated that the copier service is city-wide and the Legislative department <br />would save a little on a lower cost per copy made. The City as a whole would have <br />more copiers and printers covered under this contract along with the dollar savings. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
