Session 1763 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />August 16, 1999 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall on Monday, August 16, 1999, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to <br />order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> <br />Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul Schoomer <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />ABSENT: Mr. Robert Wagner and City Manager Frank Ollendorff. Also present was <br />Assistant City Manager Gregory Rose. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved approval of the regular session minutes from July 26, 1999. Mr. <br />Munkel seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman moved approval of the study session minutes from July 26, 1999. Ms. <br />Colquitt seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE: <br /> <br />The City Clerk administered the oath of office to Mr. Harley Smith - Plan Commission <br />and later in the meeting to Mr. Oscar Alston - Committee for the Access of Local <br />Origination Programming (CALOP). <br /> <br />Mayor Adams thanked both gentlemen for their willingness to serve, noting that the <br />work of the commissions and boards were invaluable to the City Council. Interested <br />citizens should get in touch with the City Clerk for an application. <br /> <br />BOARD AND COMMISSION LIAISON REPORTS: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams said that both TIF and the LCRA met, at the behest of the chairman, but <br />was immediately canceled due to the chairman forgetting to attend, so no business was <br />conducted. <br /> <br /> <br />
