These containers are 2/3 normal <br />size. Mr. Rose recommends awarding this purchase to Armor Equipment for <br />$23,925.00. <br /> <br />#5- Chamberlain Alley Bridge Repair Contract: Bids were solicited for the <br />construction of a new abutment wall necessitated by a large hole and void behind <br />the existing abutment for this bridge. Mr. Rose recommends acceptance of the <br />only bid submitted for this job from Schuster Engineering, Inc. in the amount of <br />$28,335.00. This company has done acceptable work of this nature for <br />University City in the past and is available to do the job very quickly. We would <br />like to proceed so that the alley can be reopened for residential and business <br />access as well as city services such as refuse collection. Funds are available in <br />the contingency account to cover this non-budgeted item. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman moved approval of the consent calendar. Mr. Schoomer seconded the <br />motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA #2 - SET PUBLIC HEARING DATE - 8644 & 8650 BARBY LANE <br />REZONING: <br /> <br />Mr. Rose recommends setting November 8 at 7:30 p.m. in these Council <br />Chambers as the time and place for a public hearing on the recommended <br />rezoning of two lots on Barby Lane from Single Family to High Density <br />Residential. A conditional use permit for a residential extended care facility at <br />this location will also be considered as part of the agenda for the November 8 City <br />Council meeting. The City Council's policy is to review the plans for the proposed <br />use before acting on the rezoning request. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved approval.
