<br />Ms. Riganti clarified that the properties are owned by Washington University and <br />currently the City’s alley bisects the property. The City would vacate a portion of the <br />alley that bisects the property in a separate ordinance and the property which was <br />owned by Washington University would be accessible to the public, but only with the <br />approval of this open space agreement. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow asked, if this was a lot the City owned. <br /> <br />Ms. Riganti stated it was a lot that Washington University owns. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert asked who was going to take care of the vacated alley. <br /> <br />Ms. Riganti said that once it was vacated, it would become part of the Washington <br />University property. She said that the City would relinquish the ownership and <br />maintenance; it would become part of the open space; and would be developed and <br />maintained by Washington University. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert asked if there would still be a dumpster there for the remaining <br />apartments and would there be access to it for Public Works’ sanitation division. <br /> <br />Ms. Riganti said that was correct and the sanitation department reviewed the plans, <br />and felt they would be able to negotiate the alley with their equipment. She said a <br />portion of the alley would be rerouted to the west and sanitation was comfortable <br />with that plan. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />3. Authorize City Manager to enter into a Shared Access Agreement with Washington <br />University. The staff recommended approval of authorize City Manager to enter into <br />a Shared Access Agreement with Washington University. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved to approve to authorize City Manager to enter into a Shared Access <br />Agreement with Washington University, seconded by Ms. Carr and the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />4. Contract with WILL Electronics for the addition of two cameras in the Loop area for a <br />total cost of $35,517.00. The staff recommended approval of the Contract with WILL <br />Electronics for two additional cameras in the Loop. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved to approve the Contract with WILL Electronics for the addition of <br />two cameras in the Loop, was seconded by Mr. Sharpe and the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />L. COUNCIL REPORTS/BUSINESS <br />1. Boards and Commissions Appointments Needed <br /> Mayor Welsch mentioned the appointments that were outstanding. <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch reminded Council that regarding reappointments, that Council had a <br />new rule in place, stating that members of the public can only be appointed or <br />5 <br /> <br /> <br />
