<br />Mr. Walker clarified by stating this item was not what was discussed in the study <br />session earlier. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow wanted to state while everyone was there that he was not sure if the <br />information he received in the study session made him feel any better with that <br />entire plan. He felt it was a passing of the buck to the staff by the consultant. He <br />said he was not sure about paying $40,000 for changes to a plan that did not <br />sound right to him. <br /> <br />Roll call vote was: <br />Ayes: Mr. Glickert, Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Price, Ms. Carr, Mr. Crow and Mayor Welsch <br />Nays: none <br /> <br />Bill 9176 carried unanimously and became Ordinance 6909. <br /> <br /> <br />N NEW BUSINESS <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />1. Resolution 2013 – 1 <br /> Approval of submission of a St. Louis County Municipal <br />Park Planning Grant application for Lewis Park inventory and evaluation. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert moved for approval, was seconded by Ms. Carr and the motion <br /> <br />carried unanimously <br /> <br />O. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION <br />Ms. Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel <br />Ms. Glickert stated that at the last meeting she discussed the declaratory judgment <br />involving the Loop Trolley and she received a courteous letter from the Director of Public <br />Works and Parks stating that he had reviewed that judgment and agreed that University <br />City should be reimbursed the court costs. <br /> <br />Ms. Glickert stated that she had dinner with a woman doctor from another country and <br />the subject of gun control was discussed and the woman responded that nobody could <br />have a gun; it was forbidden where she lived. Ms. Glickert asked if they had any crime <br />because guns were forbidden and the woman responded, yes there was, the criminals <br />had the guns. The woman stated they have gangs, drugs the same as in this country. <br />Ms. Glickert wanted to make it known that crime was everywhere even in a very <br />controlled country. <br /> <br />P. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Ms. Carr thanked the staff and Mr. Wilson for helping to present at the roundabout town <br />hall meeting on the roundabout. She said there were over 60 people in attendance and <br />the session was very informative. She stated she appreciated hearing from the people <br />who attended and she has a better understanding of the people’s level of interest. <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch reminded everyone about the meeting for the Olive businesses and <br />property owners on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the <br />Heman Park Community Center.
