Session 1766 <br />October 4, 1999 <br /> <br />#1 - Playground Equipment at Lewis Park: Bids have been received to provide new <br />playground equipment for Lewis Park. The cost estimate was $25,000. The <br />results were as follows: <br /> <br />Roger J. Hutchinson ............... $24,999.00 <br />Fry & Associates .................. $25,389.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends the award be made to Roger J. Hutchinson for the low <br />bid submitted in the amount of $24,999.00. <br /> <br />#2 - Thermal Ima~in~ Camera and Vehicle Mounted Receiver System: Requests were <br />sent to four vendors to provide pricing for subject Fire Department equipment. <br />The responses are as follow: <br /> <br />Bullard ................... $21,500.00 <br />*Battalion Three ............ $18,650.00 <br />Leo Ellebracht .............. $21,498.00 <br /> <br />*WBE <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends awarding the order to Battalion Three for their low <br />bid of $18,650.00. <br /> <br />#3 - Contract Leaf Collection: Invitations to Bid were issued to six local companies <br />for leaf collection for the Fall of 1999. The Public Works department budgeted <br />$73,560.00 for leaf collection. The following bids were received: <br /> <br /> COMPANY ' HOURLY NOT-TO-EXCEED TOTAL <br /> : ..'.'· :" : ::': RATE HOURS <br /> <br />Top Care, tnc !.... i~ $115.00 280 $32,200 <br /> <br />Hendel LawnCare; :inc .....' $110.00 376 $41.360 <br /> <br />The Public Works department would like to utilize both companies with the <br />estimated hours for each detailed above. Mr. Ollendorff, therefore, recommends <br />an award be made to both contractors, $32,200 for Top Care, Inc. and $41,360 <br />for Hendel Lawn Care, Inc. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the consent calendar. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, <br />which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
