<br />Subdivision? Mr. Hexter stated there were no other solar installations in <br />Parkview. Mr. Lucas stated they have installations in several communities in the <br />area including Chesterfield, St. Charles, Town and Country, etc. and they are <br />getting more and more approvals from boards such as the Historic Preservation <br />Commission. <br />- Commission members discussed the Parkview Historic District Standards and <br />that the installation of solar panels is included in the ordinance and could be <br />allowed if visually compatible within the District. Commission members agreed <br />the proposal complied with the ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. Wesenberg made a motion to approve the application for proposed installation of <br />roof-mounted solar panels at 6323 Westminster Place. The motion was seconded by <br />Ms. North. The motion was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />3. 6372-6380 Delmar Boulevard Design review for proposed renovation of a <br />commercial building in the Delmar Loop Parkview Gardens Historic District (National <br />Register). <br /> <br />Mr. Greatens provided background information, pictures and maps, and summarized <br />the pertinent Ordinance Sections. <br /> <br />Kevin Flynn with Kiku Obata and Company explained the proposed renovation. He <br />stated that historic tax credit approval from the National Park Service and the State had <br />been obtained for both buildings. He stated that proposed window replacement would <br />match what was there historically, a new wood storefront was proposed, and the brick <br />would be cleaned and tuck-pointed. <br /> <br />Mr. Smith made a motion to approve the application for renovations to 6372-6380 <br />Delmar Boulevard. The motion was seconded by Mr. Wesenberg. The motion was <br />approved unanimously. <br /> <br />4. Other business <br />a. Update 2012 Annual Statewide Historic Preservation Conference <br /> <br />Mr. Greatens informed the HPC members they are welcome to attend receptions and <br />sessions and there is still time to register. <br /> <br />Ms. Rehkopf with the Historical Society stated she would like Bill Kaufman to receive <br />some recognition for his work as he was not selected to receive an award. He has done <br />a lot of work, mostly behind the scenes, a way to say thank you. <br /> <br />Ms. Schmidt stated she would discuss the matter with Holly Peterson with Missouri <br />Preservation. <br /> <br />Historic Preservation Commission members had no objections to the suggestion from <br />Sue Rehkopf. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:25 pm. <br />22 <br />Page of <br /> <br />
