Michael John Witt, 6403 Clemens Avenue

Commissioner Henderson explained that unfortunately due to lack of quorum (quorum =
four or more commission members in attendance), the Traffic Commission will not be able
to hold an official meeting. Additionally, open discussion took place on the below items.

1. University Drive at West Point Ct. Parking Restriction

Ms. Ott spoke about the removal of restricted parking over 25 years ago alongside her
property, City Council endorsed it and the Police Department approved it. Two restricted
parking signs and sign poles were installed without warning on the North side of University
Drive from the corner of University Drive and West Point Court and then West to the middle
of the block of University Drive across from 7424-7430. That restriction is, no parking, 9:00
am – 11:00 am, Monday-Friday. The main entrance of her house is located on the side of
the house. If these signs are installed permanently, her family has no place to park their
family cars. This would be a hardship to the residents.

Ms. Ott’s family cannot park across because all houses have one parking space located in
the front of their house.

The restricted parking signs were installed many years ago because of the concern of
Clayton invading the neighborhood. That is no longer a problem so they were removed
Traffic Commission Minutes – February 13, 2013 Page 1
