Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. NEW VEHICLE PURCHASE - FIRE DEPARTMENT Bids for purchasing one 1997 Chevrolet Suburban for the Fire Department have been received. Invitations to bid were sent to live dealers with the following responses: Ackerman Chevrolet Butler Chevrolet $31,755.00 $31,364.00 Mr. Ollendorffrecommended purchasing this vehicle from Butler Chevrolet for their low bid of $31,364.00. Vehicle must be ordered by April 2 I, 1997 in order to obtain delivery prior to 1997 model year production cutoff. Mr. Wagner moved approval of the low bid. Mr. Ware seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. PERSONNEL REPORT The Personnel report for the period ending April I I, 1997, was received. BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD RFADING: BILL NO. 8319 - AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO RETIREMENT AND PENSIONS, BY REPEALING SECTION 25-43 AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 25-43. NORMAL SERVICE RETIREMENT." The bill was given its second reading. The bill was given its third reading.
