Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />NEW VEHICLE PURCHASE - FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />Bids for purchasing one 1997 Chevrolet Suburban for the Fire Department have been received. Invitations to bid were sent <br />to live dealers with the following responses: <br /> <br />Ackerman Chevrolet <br />Butler Chevrolet <br /> <br />$31,755.00 <br />$31,364.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorffrecommended purchasing this vehicle from Butler Chevrolet for their low bid of $31,364.00. Vehicle must <br />be ordered by April 2 I, 1997 in order to obtain delivery prior to 1997 model year production cutoff. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the low bid. Mr. Ware seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br />PERSONNEL REPORT <br /> <br />The Personnel report for the period ending April I I, 1997, was received. <br />BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD RFADING: <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8319 - AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO RETIREMENT AND <br />PENSIONS, BY REPEALING SECTION 25-43 AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN <br />AS "SECTION 25-43. NORMAL SERVICE RETIREMENT." <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br /> <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
