Meeting Minutes–University CityGreen Practices Committee <br />August 8, 2013-Page 2 <br />(3)Helen and Eric Karch will continue to monitor the projects in Universi <br />b.Air Quality/Transportation Subcommittee Report by Scott Eidson <br />(1)He is continuing the work on the residential solar installation packet and expects to repor <br />back to the Commission this fall. He still needs to meet with City staff, Jared Agee, and <br />complete the community information piece on how to incorporate t <br />University City website. <br />c.University City Online Presence Subcommittee Report Scott Eidson <br />(1)Scott completed research on the online presence for the Green Pr. <br />Commission meeting information is already being posted on the City website, Facebook page <br />and Twitter page. He recommends that this continues. <br />(2)Recommends that City staff tweets environmental facts, local eve <br />sustainable/green information on a weekly basis. The facts could be provided to Ly <br />Commission members. <br />(3)The University City website is text heavy and there are navigation issues. He r <br />adding drop down menus to the Green Practices Commission page fo <br />page content. The drop down menu could include helpful residential information <br />Rainscape program, Ameren incentives, etc. At a minimum, the page layout should be <br />simplified so that it is user friendly. <br />7.Reports <br />a.Councilmember Glickert <br />(1)None <br /> <br />8.Closing Round <br />a.Jeff Mishkin <br />(1)The mock roundabout is active and he does not like it because itto slow down traffic <br />too much. <br />(2)He met with Jared Agee and will report on the International Gree <br />information next month. <br />b.Jerry Breakstone <br />(1) This is his last meeting with the Commission and his last closin <br />and interesting experience and is excited about his new direction. During his five years with the <br />Commission he found out who we are and how to function and is st <br />with City Council. <br />c.Scott Eidson <br />(1) Thanked Jerry for serving on the Commission. <br />d.Helen Fuller <br />(1) Thanked Jerry for all the years of help. <br />e.Lynnette Hicks <br />(1) Announced the upcoming U. S. Green Building Council- Missouri Gateway Chapter Local <br />Government Green Team Meet Up on September 28, 2013. RSVP by Sep 2013, at <br />http://www.usgbc-mogateway.org/ <br /> <br />
