SESSICSq 1631 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE IaqIVB~SITY cl'l~ (I~jNCIL <br /> <br /> November 21, 1994 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in th~ Coun- <br />cil chamber of City Hall cel Monday, Novenber 21, 1994, Mayor Janet Majerus <br />presided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the <br />Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br />Mrs. Mary V. ScNm~n <br />Mr. PaulE. Scb~m~er <br /> <br />ABS~: Councilm~M~_rs Robert G. Wagner and Betty L. Tn~,~ec~, and City <br />Clerk Dolores A. Miller, all of whom were ~. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />No minutes Were r~ay for approval. <br /> <br />Mr. Michael Rodman, Washington University student representative, said the <br />safety foruan held c~ cax~0us Novenber 10 was a great success, with over 50 at- <br />tending. He thanked councilmembel~ and city perscemel who were there. It <br />was found that the shuttle bus sdledules need more publicity, as well as the <br />fact that the shuttle will take students directly hcme if necessary. Addi- <br />tional information was provided on ~rays s~rbnts can m~ke ~ves safe. <br />He said another fortram will be held next spring, and steps being taken now to <br />safeguard student safety will be evalua~a. The pLupueal is to freeze the pluperty tax for five years at the pre- <br />sent assessed valuation, with a gradual ~-ce. over the next five years to <br />100% of the taxes due on the new assessed valuation. <br /> <br />Mayor Majenm opened the public hearing at 7:34 p.m. There were no requests <br />to speak, and the hearing was closed at 7:34 p.m. <br /> <br />RECONSIDERATION OF PIAT 4 OF UNIVERSITY PIACE <br /> <br />The City Manager said the University Place developer has not met the escrow <br />requiieLent and pledged instead to make required improvements as properties <br /> <br /> <br />
