<br /> <br />2. <br />Council liaison reports on Boards and Commissions <br />Mayor Welsch attended the Plan Commission meeting which consider the U-Haul, <br />Conditional Use Permit, and approved a Condo Conversion on Delmar. She <br />attended the meeting of the Economic Development Retail Sales Tax, where they <br />considered fiscal year 2014 budget and projects. Mayor Welch said for those who <br />asked about the Trolley connection with the Roundabout the Transportation <br />Redevelopment District Board of the Trolley, the Federal Transit Administration <br />recognizes that the Roundabout has been separated from the Trolley Project. <br />They did an evaluation of the Roundabout and have said that they see the <br />Roundabout as a benefit for safety and traffic control in this community and if they <br />approve the re-design, it should be going forward. <br /> <br />Mr. Kraft spoke of the Plan Commission meeting he attended where the <br />commission took another look at the bike-walk plan. He noted they had a big turn- <br />out in excess of a 100 people, consisting of a very broad swath of people. He <br />stated that Paraguad showed up and were very supportive of anything to make <br />University City more ADA accessible. Constituents of his ward, in wheel chairs, <br />were in attendance, students who did not drive were present to state their point of <br />safety when walking or biking, and representatives from the Orthodox Jewish <br />community who were very clear to the importance and centrality of safe walking in <br />University City in their community, specifically on the Sabbath when they do not <br />drive at all. Mr. Kraft noted there was a big turn-out, lots of questions answered <br /> <br />and was a well-run public event. <br /> <br />M. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />BILLS <br />1. BILL 9187 <br /> – An ordinance authorizing University City, Missouri to enter into and <br />execute a contract with St. Louis County, Missouri for Municipal Ordinance <br />Prosecution in the St. Louis County’s Municipal Court’s Mental Health/Jail <br />Diversion program Mr. Sharpe moved to approve Bill 9187 and was seconded by <br />Ms. Carr. <br /> <br />Roll Call vote was: <br />AYES: Ms. Carr, Mr. Kraft, Mr. Crow, Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Price. Mayor Welsch <br />NAYS: none <br /> <br /> Bill 9187 carried unanimously and became Ordinance 6918 <br /> <br />2. BILL 9188 – <br />An ordinance adopting a new section of the Municipal Code of the <br />City of University City, Missouri establishing a commission on senior issues and <br /> <br />providing for the appointment of member to this commission. <br /> <br />Ms. Carr moved to approve Bill 9188 and was seconded by Mr. Crow <br /> <br />Roll Call vote was: <br />AYES: Mr. Kraft, Mr. Crow, Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Price, Ms. Carr, Mayor Welsch <br />NAYS: none <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br /> <br />
