BILL 9194 – <br />An ordinance repealing Chapter 2.62 of the University City Municipal <br />Code, relating to the police and firefighter’s retirement system, and enacting in lieu <br />thereof a new chapter to be known as “Chapter 2.62 Police and Firefighter’s <br />Retirement System”, thereby amending said Chapter so as to assure consistency, <br />and restructure the plan to assure consistency of the structure and order of plan <br /> <br />provisions. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow moved to approve Bill 9194 and was seconded by Ms. Carr <br /> <br />Roll Call vote was: <br />Mr. Kraft, Mr. Crow, Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Price, Ms. Carr, Mayor Welsch. <br />NAYS: none <br /> <br />Bill 9194 carried unanimously and became Ordinance 6925. <br /> <br />9. BILL 9195 – <br />An ordinance repealing Chapter 2.64 of the University City Municipal <br />Code, relating to the non-uniformed employees retirement system , and enacting <br />in lieu thereof a new chapter to be known as “Chapter 2.64 Non-uniformed <br />Employees Retirement System”, thereby amending said chapter so as to maintain <br />plan qualification under the Internal Revenue Code, remove outdated provisions, <br />revise language to assure consistency, and restructure the plan to assure <br /> <br />consistency of the structure and order of plan provisions. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow moved to approve and was seconded by Mr. Kraft. <br /> <br />Roll Call vote was: <br />AYES: Mr. Crow, Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Price, Ms. Carr, Mr. Kraft, Mayor Welsch <br />NAYS: none <br /> <br />Bill 9195 carried unanimously and became Ordinance 6926. <br /> <br />N. NEW BUSINESS <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />INTRODUCED BY MR. KRAFT <br />1. <br />Resolution 2013 – 12 City Council’s confidence in City Manager’s negotiations <br />with the University City Firefighters’ Union. <br /> <br />Mr. Kraft moved to approve Resolution 2013 – 12 and was seconded by Mr. <br />Sharpe. <br /> <br />Jen Stuhlman, 1499 Urbandale, Florissant <br />, University City Firefighter and Shop <br />Steward <br />Ms. Stuhlman stated the firefighters hoped Council would not support this <br />resolution in support of the representation of City Manager Lehman Walker in <br />negotiation with the fire fighter’s union. She stated the resolution was wrong and <br />unnecessary because it sent a message to the City employees and residents that <br />you do not welcome information about the conduct of the City Manager Mr. <br />Walker. Ms. Stuhlman went on to state the actions of the City Manager that she <br />said were unprofessional. She stated the firefighters continued to question Mr. <br />14 <br /> <br /> <br />
