O <br /> <br />SESSIC{~ 1627 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE ~ITY CI'AY COUNCJ~ <br /> <br /> September 26, 1994 <br /> <br />O <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Coun- <br />cil chambe~ of City Hall ~1 Monday, Se~ce83er 26, 1994, Mayor Janet Majerus <br />presided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In ~da~ticn to the <br />Mayor, the following merealDers Of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. GeorgeR. Oottcm <br />Mr. Jceeph L. Adams, Jr. <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mrs. Mary V. Sch~m~n <br />Mr. Paul E. Scb~'m~-r <br />Mrs. Betty L. Tnceq:son <br /> <br />Also present w~s City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />FIr. (3ottc~ moved the reappointl~ents of Mr. James Ricilardsc~, 1539 Jackson, <br />and Fir. Ada~ cR~ier, 7426 Stallford, to tba T.~hraX-y Board for terms expiring <br />June 30, 1997. Mrs. Sdluman seconded the motion, and all vote_ Aye. <br /> <br />OATHS OF Or'riCE <br /> <br />Mrs. Maria Pinckney and Mr. Jeffrey Suess, newly appoint~ to the Arts and <br />LettezB Oamdssion, were given the oath of office by the City Clerk. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus said the Council appreciates the willingness of Mrs. Pinckney <br />ard Mr. S~aess to serve on this c~a.-!,~-~sioa, adding it is one of the most ex- <br />citing groups to work with in the City. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schunk3n noted the idea for the recent visit of former resident and Dis- <br />ney animator Marlon West to the University City schools came fA~L another new <br />menher of tba Arts and Letters Cu~enissien. The Cu~Ldssion arranged all de- <br />tails and the visit was an enormous success. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus introduced and welcceed Mr. Michael Rodm~n, Washington Univer- <br />sity student representative to the City Council for the school <br /> <br />Mr. Rodnan, a senior frcin Boston, Massachusetts, said ba ran for this job in <br />order to focus on several issues--students living in University City, safety, <br />lighting, and blue light phune locations. He not~ he had already met with <br />Police Chiefs Payne and Taylor (University City and Washington University). <br /> <br /> <br />
