She added that a request to extend the timeframe for the mock roundabout to remain in
place was to be considered. Mayor Welsch also stated that a meeting was held with St. Louis
Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) regarding a new sewer project near Mendell Drive and about
40 people attended.

Mayor Welsch stated that Fair U City would be held on September 6 8 in conjunction with U
City Jazz Festival and this year there would be more vendors than ever before.

Department Report

Mr. Lai provided a status update on projects previously reviewed by the Plan Commission. He added that for the Washington University project, Global Foods
grocery store and a 24-hour diner were proposed to locate there. Mr. Lai also stated that Corner
17, previously approved CUP, was now open in The Loop.

The Plan Commission members discussed the need for increased density in The Loop to support
the existing businesses.

Public Comments

Ms. Lewis asked if there were any comments from the public.
