Session 1686, Minutes <br />January 27, 1997 <br /> <br />tonight. <br /> <br />BILLS FOR i~'r~ODUCTION: <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8316 - APPROVING THE DELIVERY OF $1,425,000 PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF <br />CERTIFICATES OF PARTICIPATION FOR UNIVERSITY CITY PARKING FACILITY PROJECT, <br />FOR PROVIDING FUNDS TO PAY THE COSTS OF A PROJECT FOR THE CITY; AUTHORIZING <br />CERTAIN DOCUMENTS FOR DELIVERY OF THE CERTIFICATES AND AUTHORIZING OTHER <br />ACTIONS IN CONNECTION WITH THE DELIVERY OF THE CERTIFICATES. <br /> <br />A bill was introduced by Councilmember Munkel, entitled: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE DELIVERY OF NOT TO EXCEED $1,425,000 PRINCIPAL <br />AMOUNT OF CERTIFICATES OF PARTICIPATION FOR UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI PARKING <br />FACILITY PROJECT, SERIES 1997, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS TO PAY THE <br />COSTS OF A PROJECT FOR THE CITY; AUTHORIZING CERTAIN DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION <br />WITH THE DELIVERY OF THE CERTIFICATES; AND AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OTHER ACTIONS <br />IN CONNECTION WITH THE DELIVERY OF THE CERTIFICATES." <br /> <br />The bill was assigned No. 8316 and given its first reading. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br /> <br />Mayor Adams noted that Ms. Dolores Miller, City Clerk, had retired and was <br />currently fulfilling the duties of City Clerk on a part time basis. He said <br />that the Council had gone through the process to select Ms. Leisha Meine to <br />the City Clerk position. At this time, Ms. Meine was given the oath of office <br />by Mayor Adams. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner wanted to extend his congratulations to Councilmember Hardy Ware <br />for his unopposed status in the upcoming election, noting that this was a <br />compliment to his skills and acceptance by his Third Ward constituents. <br /> <br />STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />Mayor Adams reminded everyone that the Council would meet for a study session <br />in the Library, Saturday, February 1, 1997 at 8:30 a.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams adjourned the meeting at 7:4~.m. <br /> <br /> ~ Leisha K.
