The Plan C~u~assion <br />has rec~.~/rled adoption of text ameraments to the Zoning Code dealing with <br />group homes for th~ handicapped, and it is suggested that a public hearing on <br />this matter be held on February 7, 1994, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council chamber. <br /> <br />Tree Purchase and Plantin~ (#5). Mr. Schocmer seconded the <br />motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Tne City Manager said the Council is asked to amend a parking easement agree- <br />ment approved several months ago with the developer of 6665 Delmar, which al- <br />lowed their elusive use of parking at the rear of the building fx~. 8 a.m. <br />to 6 p.m. The proprietors now wish to reserve 18 spaces for a potential ten- <br />ant and also add more evening and weekend hours to th~ parking easement for <br />the tenant's exclusive use. Mr. Ollendorff said approving that in full would <br />be contrary to the intent of encouraging pedestrian-oriented shopping and <br />restaurant uses in the Loop. He recum,ended against the proposal as current- <br />ly made; however, the City wants to encourage this retail tenant, and it may <br />be possible to work out a compromise. <br /> <br />Mr. Mark Shapiro, 35 Lake Forest, Owner of 6665 Delmar, and Mr. Jerry Best, <br />41 S. Elm, representing the owner, came forward.
