She stated that if there is a flood similar to the one UCity experienced a few <br />years ago these buildings would be devastated because the water cannot flow the <br />way that it is supposed to. Ms. Glickert suggested that the City contact MSD <br />informing them of their responsibilities with respect to River Des Peres. However if <br />MSD does not commit to the dredging then the City should budget money to do it <br />themselves. <br /> <br />P. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Mr. Price stated that he had read an article in the St. Louis American about Ernest <br />Green, a former colleague, who had been awarded a commemoration for his work <br />with parolees. He stated that Mr. Green had established a system that is now <br />being utilized throughout numerous police departments, where newly released <br />prisoners who had gained employment, but was having a difficult time getting back <br />and forth could be issued bus passes. Mr. Price informed the City Manager that <br />would send him a copy of the article. <br /> <br />Ms. Carr stated that on a recent walk down Ackert Walkway she had noticed that <br />there were no signs identifying the name of the park. She stated that Mayor Ackert <br />deserved to be celebrated, as would any other mayor, so she would hope that the <br />City would move towards installing some type of signage; even if it was temporary, <br />as rapidly as possible. <br /> <br />Q.
