(Section: 3.3) <br />Correct the percentage of affected households from 70% of affected households rather than 75% <br />(Section: 3.2). <br />Commissioner Hales made a motion to discuss this item on another meeting night. The motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Womack, and was unanimously approved. <br />The Traffic Commission meeting day will have to change. Since all Commission meetings are to be <br />held at the Heman Park Community Center, instead of the Council Chambers, City Hall 5th floor, a <br />new day of the week needs to be determined. <br />There was unanimous opposition to change the day, and the Commission asked the City to find a <br />place to meet the second Wednesday of the month as it always has been and as written in the <br />bylaws. The opposition is due to Commissioners’ schedule conflicts and unavailability other days of <br />the week. Commissioner Wofsey suggested we communicate with School District or Library for <br />potential alternatives of location. Councilmember Carr recommended that if there are no other <br />alternatives for places to meet, we should be able to meet in the Council Chambers, but rearranging <br />the distribution of the tables and arrange chairs in the back area for audience, when needed. She also <br />suggested that if we anticipate a large audience, we should be able to use the Council/Mayor chairs. <br />5. Annual Report Revised <br /> <br />Commissioner Brot requested a few changes to the report. Commissioner Brot made a motion to <br />accept this version of the Annual Report. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Tunstall and <br />unanimously approved. Changes will be added and presented to the City Council. <br />6. Mock Roundabout – Update and Council Liaison Report – Councilmember Carr. <br /> <br />Councilmember Carr reported on the following items: <br /> <br />Mock Roundabout <br />- : There was a unanimous decision to accept the money for the <br />Mock Roundabout and accept the revisions and pay for the revisions. Curbing that was <br />originally put in will be removed and the Mock Roundabout will remain up thru the winter. <br />Construction is tied to the Loop Trolley Project. <br />New Commissions approved by City Council to be created <br />- : Senior and Youth. <br />U-City in Bloom <br />- : Fundraiser will take place on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 1:00pm to <br />5:00pm. Tickets can be purchased at Centennial Commons or the library. <br />Style In The loop <br />- : Fashion show will take place on Delmar Blvd in the Loop – Sunday, <br />September 29, 2013. <br /> <br />7. Educational Presentation - SPEED LIMITS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wofsey requested to have this item deferred to the next meeting. Ms. Gutierrez <br />requested that everyone read the information and email her with questions. <br />8. Miscellaneous <br /> <br />Announcement by Commissioner Brot: On October 13, 2013 there will be a fundraiser to help replace <br />the trees on the 17 University City parks.
