<br /> <br />Traffic Commission <br />6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri 63130, Phone: (314) 505-8560, Fax: (314) 862-0694 <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY MINUTES OF THE TRAFFIC COMMISSION <br />October 9, 2013 <br /> <br />th <br />At the Traffic Commission meeting of University City held in the City Hall 5 floor, on <br />Wednesday, October 9, 2013, Commissioner Carol Wofsey called the meeting to order at 6:30 <br />p.m. In addition to Commissioner Wofsey, the following members of the commission were <br />present: <br /> <br /> <br /> Stefany Brot <br /> <br /> Curtis Tunstall <br /> <br /> Jeff Hales <br /> <br /> Eva Creer <br /> <br />Also in attendance: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Paulette Carr <br /> <br /> Police Department Representative P.O. Shaun Margul <br /> <br /> Public Works and Parks Liaison, Sinan Alpaslan <br /> <br />Members not present: <br /> <br /> Phyllis Blalock <br /> <br /> Jackie Womack <br /> <br />Others present were: <br /> <br /> Cathleen Ott, property owner and resident at 365 WestPoint Ct. <br /> <br /> Milan Green property owner and resident at 1300 Eastover Ave. <br /> <br /> John Reid, property owner and resident at 8025 Lafon Pl. <br /> <br />1. Approval of Minutes September 11, 2013 <br /> <br />Commissioner Hales made a motion to accept the September 11, 2013 minutes. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Tunstall, and unanimously approved. <br /> <br />2. Petition to remove parking restrictions on the 7400 Block of University Dr. <br /> <br />Ms. Ott (U-City resident) discussed the no parking sign restrictions in the front and side of her house <br />from 9:00am – 11:00am on weekdays, and is requesting that the restrictions be lifted so that the <br />residents would have a place to park. <br /> <br />A petition was signed by the neighbors to lift the restriction on the half block so that it would be <br />available for parking. Lifting this restriction only along the University Dr. frontage of Ms. Ott’s residence <br />will be for the convenience, security of the neighborhood, and accommodate the need of having a <br />place to park on street. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brot made a motion to accept the petitioner’s request to remove the existing codified <br />parking restriction from the half block on University Drive, adjacent to 365 WestPoint Ct. across from, <br />7424, 7426, & 7430 University Dr. Also, the sign at mid-block should be changed to coordinate with the <br />other signs that were mentioned in this Traffic Commission Meeting (10/9/13).
