A bill was introduced by Mr. Sharpe, entitled: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.44 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />RELATING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON SPECIFIC STREETS, BY <br />REPEALING SECTION 10.44.010 THEREOF, RELATING TO PARKING <br />PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS AT ALL TIMES, AND ENACTING IN <br />LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 10.44.010 <br />PARKING PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS AT ALL TIMES," THEREBY <br />AMENDING SAID SECTIONS SO AS TO PROHIBIT PARKING AT ALL TIMES <br />ON THE EAST SIDE OF MCKNIGHT ROAD FROM BERICK DRIVE TO A POINT <br />59 FEET SOUTH THEREOF; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND <br />PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned bill no. 8450. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman asked for a comment from the City Manager regarding the auditor's letter of <br />comments and recommendations. Mr. Ollendorff said that there were ten <br />recommendations for improvements and we agree with every one of them. The basic audit <br />uncovered no adverse findings. It was basically a clean audit. They advised us to revise <br />our investment rules to take advantage of a broader range of investments of city money <br />than we used to be able to make. Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff stated that <br />they are asking an investment firm to help us make the rules. We probably will not need to <br />hire an investment firm to make the investments. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams asked for a motion to go into Executive Session in room 6, 2nd floor of City <br />Hall at 9:00 p.m. to deal with a real estate issue. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved to go into executive session. Mr. Lieberman seconded the motion. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. <br />Lieberman, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe, Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. <br /> <br />Mayor asked the two first ward Councilmembers to survey the Lindell residents to get him a <br />better feel of the situation, especially the people that are definitely affected. <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br /> <br />
