<br />Other Business <br /> <br />a.Election of Officers <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. Locke stated that election of a Chairperson was necessary in order to fill the vacancy created <br />by the resignation of Ms. Deidre Lewis. A new annual election would be held at the January <br />Plan Commission meeting as required per the By-Laws. Ms. Locke was nominated to serve as <br />Chairperson. The nomination was seconded and approved unanimously. The nomination of Ms. <br />Locke to serve as Chairperson resulted in a vacancy for Vice-Chairperson. Ms. Moran was <br />nominated to serve as Vice-Chairperson. The nomination was seconded and approved <br />unanimously. The nomination of Ms. Moran to serve as Vice-Chairperson resulted in a vacancy <br />for Designated Alternate. Mr. Senturia was nominated to serve as Designated Alternate. The <br />nomination was seconded and approved unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />b.Public Comments <br />There were no requests for comments by the public. <br /> <br />Reports <br /> <br />a.Code Review Committee Report <br /> None (addressed in Text Amendment agenda item) <br /> <br />b.Comprehensive Plan Committee Report <br /> <br />Mr. Lai reported on the Comprehensive Plan Committee meeting from November 6. He stated <br />that the CPC discussed and scheduled a public meeting of the Plan Commission for the Revised <br />Draft Parkview Gardens Neighborhood Sustainable Development Plan on December 12. He <br />stated that staff had started the publicity efforts including mailing letters to residents, property <br />owners and business owners, posting signs, and that the Loop Special Business District would be <br />notified as they were trying to reach as many as possible. Mr. Lai also stated that regarding the <br />Comprehensive Plan Update, the consultants were negotiating with the City and that the CPC <br />had recommended a meeting to be held with City Council and the consultants to refine the scope <br />of work. The proposed dates were December 10 or December 18, depending on City Council <br />member availability. <br /> <br />Ms. Locke added that CPC had suggestions for minor revisions to the scope of work related to <br />public engagement, but were generally in favor of proposal. <br /> <br /> <br />c.Council Liaison Report <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch reported that there was one more City Council meeting before the end of the year <br />th <br />to be held on Monday, December 9 and there would also be a study session with the internal <br />auditor prior to this meeting. She stated there was a study session on the Capital Improvement <br />Plan prior to the last meeting and added that the Director of Public Works & Parks, Rich Wilson, <br />stated that the average rating of University City streets was 6.2 on a scale of 10 with 52 percent <br />above, and 48 percent below. The cost of getting all streets to a 7, 7.5 or 8 was currently being <br />studied. The Land Clearance Redevelopment Authority (LCRA) granted an extension for the <br />builders and developers of Vanguard Crossing, the multi-family residential development on <br />Delcrest Drive, due to days lost to bad weather.
