Session 1774 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />February 7, 2000 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers of <br />City Hall on Monday, February 7, 2000, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to <br />order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> <br />Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br />Mr. Wayne Munkel <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul Schoomer <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager, Mr. Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the regular session minutes from January 24, 2000. Mr. <br />Sharpe seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION: MIKE JONES, ST. LOUIS RAMS LINEBACKER AND U. CITY <br />RESIDENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams read a proclamation honoring U. City resident, Mike Jones, on his game <br />winning tackle in the last few remaining seconds of Super XXXIV, which cinched the St. <br />Louis Rams victory. Mr. Jones was present to accept his proclamation in person. <br />Applause followed. <br /> <br />Mr. Jones thanked the Mayor and Council for the proclamation and introduced his wife <br />Leslie, who was born and raised in University City, and his three daughters: Ashley, Taelor <br />and Moriah. More applause followed. <br /> <br />BOARDS AND COMMISSION LIAISON REPORTS: <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe stated that at the January 12th Traffic Commission meeting there were a <br />number of items discussed. Among them was a complaint about speeding on Delmar <br />which has not been resolved. The Commission did feel that the traffic was dense enough <br />to put up signs on Delmar. There was also a concern of not being able to see as you come <br />out on 81st street from Nob Hill Lane. The Commission did address this issue. There was <br /> <br /> <br />
