Funding for this project is from Community Development Block <br />Grant Funds. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved approval of the consent calendar. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, <br />which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA #2 - 2000 RECREATION PROGRAMS: <br /> <br />The Park Commission recommends two additions to the previously approved recreation <br />program. The first is an increase in lap swim hours on weekends by nearly double. This is <br />worth a try provided usage records are kept for study at the end of the season. The second <br />proposal is for financing scholarships to classes at local private not-for-profit arts programs <br />for teens. This is in line with Council's determination that we should expand recreation <br />opportunities for this age group and therefore could be approved for inclusion in the <br />upcoming budget. <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br /> <br />
