City Manager Walker stated that while the use of grants has occurred in the past, it is certainly
not the norm. He advised Mr. Sharpe that each department will be asked to present its budget
to Council and the purchase of vehicles will be addressed at that time.

Mayor Welsch stated that initially she thought Council had been advised that the City’s
preference was to have more than a million dollars a year for street and sidewalk maintenance.
She then questioned whether there was any possibility of reaching and maintaining that goal in
the future. Mr. Wilson stated that there is approximately one million dollars in the current
budget. Mayor Welsch asked if the 1.2 million dollars referred to all of the capital expenses. Mr.
Wilson stated that that was correct.

Mayor Welsch asked if there were any more questions and hearing none the meeting was
adjourned at 6:10 p.m.

Joyce Pumm, MRCC/CMC
City Clerk

7
