<br /> <br />Traffic Commission <br />6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri 63130, Phone: (314) 505-8560, Fax: (314) 862-0694 <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY MINUTES OF THE TRAFFIC COMMISSION <br />December 11, 2013 <br /> <br />th <br />At the Traffic Commission meeting of University City held in the City Hall 5 floor, on <br />Wednesday, December 11, 2013, Commissioner Carol Wofsey called the meeting to order at <br />6:32 p.m. In addition to Commissioner Wofsey, the following members of the commission were <br />present: <br /> <br /> Stefany Brot <br /> <br /> Jeff Hales <br /> <br /> Eva Creer <br /> <br /> Jackie Womack <br /> <br />Also in attendance: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Paulette Carr <br /> <br /> Public Works and Parks Liaison, Angelica Gutierrez <br /> <br /> City Engineer, Sinan Alpaslan <br /> <br /> Police Department Representative P.O. Shaun Margul <br /> <br />Members not present: <br /> <br /> Curtis Tunstall (excused) <br /> <br /> Mark Barnes (excused) <br /> <br />Others present were: <br /> <br /> Sandra Daniels, resident at 6924 Raymond Ave <br /> <br /> Virginia Daniels, property owner at 6924 Raymond Ave <br /> <br /> Karl Scheidt, Executive Director of Operations <br /> <br /> Mr. Jeremy O’Hara, resident at 7220 Shaftesbury <br /> <br /> Robert Warbin, resident at 7011 Pershing Ave <br /> <br />1. New Chair Person Election <br /> <br />Commissioner Brot made a motion to ratify the action to have elected temporarily Commissioner <br />Wofsey as Chair Person to fulfill an unexpired term left from former Commission Henderson earlier in <br />2013, through November 2013. Commissioner Hales seconded the motion and was unanimously <br />approved. <br />Commissioner Hales nominated Commissioner Wofsey to continue to be the Chair Person of the <br />Traffic Commission. An election was held and all votes supported the nomination to elect <br />Commissioner Wofsey to be the Chair Person. <br /> <br />2. Approval of Minutes November 13, 2013 <br /> <br />There was an amendment to the item #2 of the November 13, 2013 Agenda, “Trinity Avenue Closure <br />at Delmar Blvd west of the Roundabout” as follows: <br /> <br />“Commissioner Hales made a motion to recommend that Trinity be reopened and recommended the <br />preferred option as Option B where Trinity Ave remains open both north and south of Delmar Blvd, and <br />Delmar Blvd traffic to flow on three lanes west of the roundabout – two eastbound lanes and one <br />westbound lane. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Brot.
