<br /> <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />January 16, 2014 Meeting Minutes <br />(approved 2-20-2014) <br /> <br />The Historic Preservation Commission held their regular meeting in the Heman Park Community Center <br />located at 975 Pennsylvania Avenue, University City, Missouri on Thursday, January 16, 2014. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Ms. Marin stated that a comment had been omitted from the September 19, 2013 minutes during <br />the discussion about the time-extension for the temporary roundabout at the intersection of <br />Delmar Boulevard and Trinity Avenue. She asked to have her comment added about removal of <br />the construction ribbon and cones at this location. The minutes from the September 19, 2013 <br />meeting were accepted with the inclusion of the comments as stated by Ms. Marin. <br /> <br />2. Old Business None <br /> <br />3. New Business For items 3.a. through 3.f., the applicant (Stu Leipziger with The Lawrence <br />Group), property owner (North Delmar FY14, LLC), and request were the same, but for different <br />addresses (see below) Design Review for proposed exterior renovations to six multi-family <br />buildings in the Delmar Loop Parkview Gardens Historic District (National Register of Historic <br />Places). <br /> <br />Mr. Greatens provided background information, pictures and maps for all six properties and <br />summarized the applicable Zoning Code Section (34-77). <br /> <br />The applicant and project architect, Mr. Stu Leipziger with The Lawrence Group, provided an <br />overview for all six buildings. He stated that exterior renovations included tuck-pointing, <br />window replacement, landscaping improvements and some brick infill. He stated that the <br />proposed window infill could not be seen from street. He also explained that the building at 740 <br />Westgate Avenue was not considered a contributing building to the National Register District <br />and they proposed to remodel it to look exactly like 736 Westgate Avenue so it could be <br />tm; <br /> šE  <br /> <br />
