She stated that currently she is working with the <br />owner of the market in the U City Loop to bring local farmers into the area. <br />She stated that it is very important for the market to be a part of the <br />community and they have received very positive feedback on their efforts <br />from residents, as well as the Loop Special Business District. <br /> Ms. Henderson stated that part of this expansion would include a small <br />portion of the public parking lot located adjacent to the market site. She <br />stated that currently they are working with the office of Community <br />Development to discuss the variables, and her hope is that she will be able <br />to present an agreement to Council for approval in the near future. <br /> Ms. Henderson stated that as an experienced manager she knows that it <br />is very important to have all of her ducks in a row as it relates to safety, <br />security and trash removal. She stated that she looks forward to working <br />on the project with the goal of making sure that it is an enjoyable <br />experience for everyone. Ms. Henderson stated that her contact number <br />could be found in the proposal she presented to Council tonight in the event <br />anyone had questions or comments. <br /> <br />Jen Stuhlman, 1499 Urbandale <br />Ms. Stuhlman stated that as the Shop Steward for the Professional <br />Firefighters of she was here tonight on behalf of Local 2665.
