say. He stated that he has never seen minutes with mass run-on sentences
and no paragraphs. Mr. Price stated that with no transition from one person
to another, the minutes are hard to follow.

Ms. Pumm informed Mr. Price that the transcriber had utilized paragraphs
however she (Ms. Pumm) had revised the minutes and grouped each
speaker’s comments into one paragraph since everyone was speaking on
the same subject matter.

Mr. Price stated that without paragraphs it is just words, so he would like to
see the minutes constructed in a format that allows the reader to easily
follow what is taking place.
Mr. Price stated that if certain of his colleagues were big and bad enough
to make statements that they never get corrected for, then they need to be
man enough to have it in the minutes. He stated that his wife had even told
him that he had better come here tonight and make sure that the minutes
were corrected to include his comments. And although he really did not
care; since he would not be returning, he does hope that if this member of
Council is reelected he would not be as blatantly disrespectful to women and
people of color as he has been in the past. Mr. Price stated that perhaps the
fact that he is a man of color is the reason his colleague thinks that he can
say anything in public about him and his wife like it’s no big deal.

Mayor Welsch asked all members of Council who were in favor of approving
the minutes as amended to please signify by saying aye.

Mr. Kraft asked Mayor Welsch what Council was voting on. Mayor Welsch
stated that she was calling for a vote on the suggested amendments to the
Regular Session Minutes as discussed by Ms. Carr. Mr. Kraft advised Mayor
Welsch that he was unclear as to what he was voting on. Mayor Welsch
informed Mr. Kraft that she was asking Council to vote on the amendments
that had been sent out by Ms. Pumm, as well as the additional revisions
provided by Ms. Carr at tonight’s meeting. Mr. Kraft questioned whether
Council was being asked to vote on the amended minutes that had been
sent out by Ms. Pumm. Ms. Pumm informed Mr. Kraft that Ms. Carr had
submitted some additional changes to the minutes this evening.

Mr. Sharpe questioned whether Mr. Price’s request to have the format of the
minutes revised was also being addressed in the vote.

Mayor Welsch asked Mr. Price if he wished to delay approval until the
current format had been revised or whether he was requesting that future
minutes be prepared in a paragraph format. Mr. Price stated that he was
asking that the current minutes be revised to include paragraphs.

Mr. Glickert moved that approval of the February 24, 2014, minutes for the
Regular Session be postponed in order to incorporate the specific
amendments addressed at tonight’s meeting, seconded by Mr. Sharpe.
