<br />MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY HALL, Fifth Floor <br />6801 Delmar Blvd. <br />City of University City, Missouri 63130 <br />March 10, 2014 <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />A. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held on the fifth floor of City Hall, on <br />Monday, March 10, 2014, Mayor Shelley Welsch called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. <br /> <br />B. ROLL CALL <br />In addition to the Mayor the following members of the Council were present: <br /> Ms. Paulette Carr <br />Mr. Stephen Kraft arrived at 6:40 p.m. <br />Mr. Terry Crow <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also in attendance was the City Manager Lehman Walker. <br /> <br />The City Clerk announced that Mr. Price had been excused from tonight’s meeting. <br /> <br />C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Mr. Glickert moved to approve the draft agenda, was seconded by Mr. Sharpe and the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />D. PROCLAMATIONS <br />Proclamation for Marvin Levy from Council – A celebration of Mr. Levy’s life of community service <br />will be held on April 25, 2014, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the University City Public Library. <br /> <br />Adelia Parker-Castro, President of the Arts & Letters Commission thanked City Council and Mayor <br />Welsch for supporting the Commission in their efforts to share the good news about Mr. Levy’s <br />commitment and contributions to his community. <br /> <br />E. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />1. <br />February 10, 2014, City Council Regular Session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. <br />Sharpe, seconded by Mr. Crow and the motion carried unanimously. <br />2. <br />February 24, 2014, City Council Regular Session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. <br />Sharpe, seconded by Ms. Carr and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />F. APPOINTMENTS <br />1. Nikki Beverly was nominated for appointment to the Youth Commission as a Social Worker <br />representative by Ms. Carr, seconded by Mr. Sharpe and the motion carried unanimously. <br />2. Claire Linzee was nominated for appointment to CALOP by Ms. Carr, seconded by Mr. Sharpe <br />and the motion carried unanimously. <br />3. Eleanor Mullin was nominated for appointment to the Senior Commission by Mr. Crow, <br />seconded by Mr. Glickert and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />G. SWEARING IN <br /> <br />1. <br />Beth Gooch was sworn in to the Youth Commission in the City Clerk’s office <br />2. <br />Alice Mutrux was sworn in to the Youth Commission in the City Clerk’s office <br /> <br /> <br />H. <br />CITIZEN PARTICIPATION (Total of 15 minutes allowed) <br />Tom Sullivan, 751 Syracuse <br /> <br />
