<br /> <br />Traffic Commission <br />6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri 63130, Phone: (314) 505-8560, Fax: (314) 862-0694 <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY MINUTES OF THE TRAFFIC COMMISSION <br />February 12, 2014 <br /> <br />At the Traffic Commission meeting of University City held in the Heman Park Community <br />Center, on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, Commissioner Carol Wofsey called the <br />meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. In addition to Commissioner Wofsey, the following members of <br />the commission were present: <br /> <br /> Robert Warbin (New Commissioner) <br /> <br /> Jeff Hales <br /> <br /> Eva Creer <br /> <br /> Jackie Womack <br /> <br /> Curtis Tunstall <br /> <br /> Mark Barnes <br /> <br />Also in attendance: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Paulette Carr <br /> <br /> Public Works and Parks Liaison, Angelica Gutierrez <br /> <br /> City Engineer, Sinan Alpaslan <br /> <br /> Police Department Representative P.O. Shaun Margul <br /> <br />Others present were: <br /> <br /> Sandra Daniels, resident at 6924 Raymond Ave <br /> <br /> Virginia Daniels, property owner at 6924 Raymond Ave <br /> <br />1. Approval of Minutes December 11, 2013 <br /> <br />Commissioner Womack made a motion to approve the minutes. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Tunstall and was unanimously approved. <br /> <br />2. Agenda Items: <br /> <br />A. Parking restriction request in front of 6923 Raymond Avenue – Action Item <br /> <br />Commissioner Wofsey presented the request to restrict parking across from a private <br />driveway at 6924 Raymond Ave. Mrs. Gutierrez, confirmed that conditions on the request <br />have not changed and that a petition has been filed with the City with signatures from the <br />three property owners affected by the parking restriction requested. <br />Commissioner Hales requested to have this subject placed on the agenda at a future <br />meeting to discuss how to address this type of requests. A brief discussion took place about <br />the standard for this type of restrictions, and how to handle these types of requests from <br />other residents. Mrs. Gutierrez recommended handling each situation on case by case <br />basis. <br />Commissioner Hales made a motion to approve the request as petitioned as well as <br />recommend it to the city council.
