<br />UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />STUDY SESSION <br />th <br />5 Floor of City Hall <br />6801 Delmar <br />May 12, 2014 <br />5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />th <br />The City Council Study Session held in the Council Chamber, 5 floor of City Hall, on Monday, <br />May 12, 2014. Mayor Shelley Welsch called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. In addition to the <br />Mayor the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Terry Crow <br />Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> Ms. Paulette Carr <br /> <br />Also in attendance were the City Manager Lehman Walker and Director Public Works and Parks, <br />Richard Wilson. <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch asked if there were any changes to the upcoming agenda. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe stated that he would like to add the nomination of Kevin Taylor to be appointed to the <br />Washington University Advisory Board. <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch stated that she would like to set aside some time after the swearing-in portion of <br />the agenda to honor Councilmember Byron Price who will be leaving Council. Mayor Welsch <br />stated the Mr. Kraft was going to add to the agenda, Mr. Waxenberg nomination to the Civil <br />Service Board. <br /> <br />City Manager Lehman Walker stated that he would like to withdraw Bill 9229 and correct the <br />amount shown in Item K(2) under the City Manager’s Report from $45,421.20 to $57,754.80. <br />____________________________ <br /> <br />Next item on the agenda was a discussion of the budget overview presentation by the Public <br />Works and Parks Department Director Mr. Rich Wilson. <br /> <br />Mr. Wilson stated Council had received a copy of the proposed budget. He noted in order to <br />expedite this discussion he would only be reviewing the highlighted items, although he would be <br />open to answer any questions that Council may have. <br /> <br />Ms. Carr asked Mr. Wilson if he would provide Council with an update on the status of the <br />Ferguson Bridge.
