Mr. <br /> Wagner mored acceptance of the certification of the results of the April 3, <br /> 1990 election. Mrs. Schuman seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> Mayor Majerus called attention to a resolution prepared by the City Clerk's <br /> office which showed the results of the election. Copies of the resolution <br /> were distributed to councilmembers. Mr. Adams moved adoption of the resolu- <br /> tion, with Mr. Schoomer seconding the motion. All voted Aye. <br /> ADJOURNMENT - SINE DIE <br /> Mr. Schomer moved that the Council, consisting of Mayor Majerus and Council- <br /> members Price, Adams, Wagner, Schuman, Schooner, and Thompson, be adjourned <br /> sine die. Mrs. Schuman seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> ORRIS OF OFFICE <br /> In a brief ceremony, Councilmember Adams administered the oath of office to <br /> Mayor Majerus. He said this was an honor because the Mayor has done an out- <br /> standing job in the last four years, and he looked forward to another produc- <br /> tive term. Mayor Majerus thanked Melanie Bruder, her campaign manager, and <br /> her husband Phil and daughter Karen, all of wham were present. She also <br /> thanked the City Council for their cooperation and hard work during her first <br /> term. There was a round of applause. <br /> Mayor Ma]erus then administered the oath of office to Councilmembers Schooner <br /> and Price. She said Councilmember Wagner will be sworn in at the next Council <br /> meeting because of an unfortunate paperwork error. Mr. Price introduced his <br /> children Paul and Sarah and said he had several priorities for his next term— <br /> improved senior citizen services, River Des Peres improvements, and recrea- <br /> tional opportunities for young people. Mr. Schooner thanked his wife Suzanne, <br /> children Ivan, Elanor and Sarah, and the voters who showed confidence in him. <br /> There was another round of applause. <br /> Mayor Majerus called the meeting to order. In addition to the Mayor, the roll <br /> call vote showed the following cauncilmembers to be present; <br /> Mr. Byron R. Price <br /> Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br /> (me Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br /> Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br /> Mr. Paul E. Schoaner <br /> Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br />
