xq€ <br /> SESSION 1514 <br /> MUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> March 12, 1990 <br /> At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Assem- <br /> bly Roan of City Hall on Monday, March 12, 1990, Mayor Janet Majerus presided <br /> and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the <br /> following members of the Council were present: <br /> Mr. Byron R. Price <br /> Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br /> Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br /> Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br /> Mr. Paul E. Schoc suer <br /> Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> Also present was City Manager Frank 011endorff. <br /> NSB ; <br /> Mr. Wagner moved approval of the February 26, 1990 minutes as submitted. Mr. <br /> Schoomer seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> CONFIRMATION OF ELECTION AND OATHS OF OFFICE <br /> Mr. Schooner moved that Council confirm the election of Linda Edwards (Blue- <br /> berry Hill) , Craig Moore (Tivoli Theater) , and Eleanor Ruder (Componere) to <br /> the University City Loop Special Business District Commission. Mr. Wagner <br /> seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> The City Clerk then administered the oath of office to Ms. Edwards and Ms. Ru- <br /> der. Mr. Moore was not present. Mayor Majerus thanked the new members for <br /> their willingness to serve, and said the Council was very pleased with the <br /> changes that have taken place in the Loop aver the last few years. <br /> CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR (FOUR ITEMS) <br /> Community Development Block Grant Transfer (#1) . Unexpected funds fruit last <br /> year's community development budget became available due to projects costing <br /> less than estimated. It was recommended that these funds be transferred to <br /> improvements to Loop North, Leland, and the adjacent parking lot. <br /> Bids for Tennis Court Resurfacing (#2) . Invitations to bid on resurfacing <br /> four tennis courts at Kaufman Park were sent to 11 contractors, with the fol- <br /> lowing response: <br /> McConnell and Associates Corp. $ 9,350 <br /> Frazier-Davis Construction Co. 9,360 <br /> (female-owned, male president) <br /> St. Louis Paving, Inc. 11,960 <br /> 1 <br />
