If <br /> the ownership of the building changes to a not-for-profit corporation or <br /> comes under tax exert status or if directorship of the organization <br /> changes, the use permit shall become null and void. <br /> Mrs. Thompson moved approval with all conditions. Mr. Adams seconded the mo- <br /> tion. <br /> In response to Mr. Schoamer, Mr. 011endorff said this organization's services <br /> will be available to University City students. Mr. Schoamer asked if the His- <br /> toric Preservation Commission was notified since the building has same histor- <br /> ic merit. Mr. 011endorff said he was not aware of that and to his knowledge, <br /> the Commission was not notified. He noted that the building will not be <br /> changed in anyway by this use; however, the Commission will be notified. <br /> All voted Aye. <br /> LION GATES MONUME2? CONTRACT <br /> The City Manager said the City was prepared to move forward with the next <br /> phase of the Lion Gates project, which is to replace the limestone layers be- <br /> tween the base of the lion and the top of the pylon on the north monument. <br /> The City staff and Historic Preservation Conanission have been reviewing the <br /> proposals of two different groups, the Washington University Technology Asso- <br /> ciates WIN , and Cohn-Ruggeri-Cassilly, a group assembled by Kimble Cohn, a <br /> University City architect. He noted the work must be done as quickly as pos- <br /> sible before winter sets in to prevent further damage. He added that doing <br /> this work necessitated making molds, so that whichever group does the north <br /> monument can reuse the molds, giving them an advantage; therefore, it was felt. <br /> desirable to secure bids on the south monument at the same time, although it <br /> is not yet known if as much work needs to be done.
