• • RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI , EXPRESSING THE INTENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO TAKE NECESSARY ACTIONS TO ADOPT A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH LOCAL 2665 INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS REPRESENTING THE CITY' S FIRE CAPTAINS. WHEREAS, proposals relating to economic factors of Fire Department employees have been presented to City administrators by Local 2665, International Association of Fire Fighters representing the City' s Fire Captains; and WHEREAS, proposals were presented on behalf of the City .and after prolonged discussions representatives of Local 2665 and the City' s negotiating committee have agreed on certain issues relating to economic factors and reduced such understanding to writing ; and WHEREAS, Section 105. 520 R.S. Mo. provides upon completion of such discussions the results shall be reduced to writing and presented to the appropriate legislative' body for adoption , modification or rejection ; and WHEREAS, members. of Local 2665, International Association of Fire Fighters representihg the City' s Fire Captains, by membership vote have ratified the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding extending through the 30th day of June, 1991 ; and WHEREAS, the City' s negotiating committee recommends adoption of this Memorandum of Understanding . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY: That the Council hereby adopts and authorizes the City Manager to execute the attached Memorandum of Understanding ` . between the City of University City, Missouri , and Local 2665, Internation'al Association of Fire Fighters , representing the City' s Fire Captains, pending such modifications in ordinances as may be appropriate in the circumstances. • PASSED this 23rd day of July 1990. diRw ?71 - ATTEST: I 04-1:41-14-k—z- CITY CLERK (Wile
