It was recommended that the revised bid of $29,950 from T & L Tree <br /> Service be accepted. <br /> Mr. Adams moved approval. Mr. Schooner seconded the motion, which carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> UNIFORM RENTAL SERVICE BIDS <br /> The City Manager said Council approval was requested to accept the lowest and <br /> best bid to supply city worker rental uniforms (streets, parks, sanitation, <br /> central garage, custodial) from Clean Industrial Services for a total cost of <br /> $10,104.64. He said the Finance Director proposed that all divisions receive <br /> a minimum of seven uniforms (giving them three changes per week) , with the <br /> exception of the Central Garage, which has had five changes per week and will <br /> remain at that level. The City's current cost for uniforms is $8,476 which <br /> included five uniforms for workers except for Central Garage. <br /> Mr. Price moved approval as recammended. Mr. Schooner seconded the motion, <br /> which carried unanimously. <br /> PERSONNEL REPORT <br /> The Personnel report for the week ending October 13, 1990 was received and or- <br /> dered filed. <br /> LIIIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Ms. Geri Rothman, 605 Old Ballas, candidate for the St. Louis County Council, <br /> said she wanted to introduce herself, and say had much she looked forward to <br /> working with the City Council after the election November 6, hopefully as the <br /> City's representative on the County Council. <br /> DILLS FOR SEOOND AND THIRD READINGS <br /> BILL NO. 7980 - AMENDING CHAPTER 25 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO RETIREMENT AND <br /> PENSIONS, BY REPEALING SECTION 25-37 AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SEC- <br /> TION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 25-37. CONTRIBUTIONS" SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE <br /> EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTIONS BY WAY OF PAYROLL DEDUCTION SHALL BE PICKED UP BY THE <br /> CITY AND TREATED AS EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTIONS WITHIN THE MEANING OF SECTION 414 <br /> (kw (H) (2) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. <br /> Bill No. 7980 was given its second reading. <br /> Bill No. 7980 was given its third reading. <br />
