Mr. Price seconded the motion, adding that he saw no reason to <br /> turn it down. All voted Aye except Mr. Wagner, who voted Nay. <br /> 1991 SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM <br /> The City Manager said the Park Commission recommended approval of the staff <br /> proposals for the 1991 Summer Recreation Program. He noted there were few <br /> changes from last year. The Commission also recommended spending $1600 to <br /> mail the booklet separately from the School/City newspaper, however, Mr. 01- <br /> lendorff said the City's tight budget precluded that, and the booklet will be <br /> mailed with the newspaper by mid-May. <br /> Mr. Price moved approval as recommended. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, <br /> which carried unanimously. <br /> FINAL PLAT - AMHERST PLACE SUBDIVISION <br /> The City Manager said approval was recommended by the Plan Commission and <br /> Planning staff for the final plat of Amherst Place Subdivision (adjacent to <br /> the Lionsgate Condominiums) . The plat conforms to City requirements and is <br /> in basic agreement with the previously approved preliminary plat. A new own- <br /> er appears ready to proceed with construction pending approval. <br /> Mr. Adams moved approval, with Mr. Schoomer seconding the motion. <br /> Mr. Schoomer asked when work will start. The developer, Mr. Mike Mullenix, <br /> Dominion Properties, said he hoped to start construction at the end of Decem- <br /> ber, with a display home ready in April, 1991. <br /> All voted Aye. <br /> CONDITIONAL USE - 7170 VERNON (TRANSMISSION REPAIR) <br /> The City Manager concurred in the Plan Commission recommendation to approve <br /> using this former gasoline station for auto repair, subject to the following <br /> conditions: <br /> 1. All open off-street parking areas and driveways shall be graded and paved <br /> with a durable dust-free and hard material, such as bituminous hot mix or <br /> portland cement concrete or some comparable material. <br /> 2. The existing cable and posts located along the Midland Boulevard and Ver- <br /> non Avenue property lines shall be removed from the property. <br /> 3. Overnight, outdoor parking or storage of wrecked, derelict, abandoned <br /> and/or unlicensed vehicles is prohibited. Overnight storage of motor ve- <br /> hicles shall be limited to an area of marked parking stalls in front of <br /> the building, not to exceed 12 spaces. <br /> 4. All business, service, storage and display of goods shall be conducted <br /> within the completely enclosed structure. <br /> Ar <br /> 160, 5. A revised parking layout and detailed landscape plan shall be submitted <br /> to the Director of Planning for review and approval. Landscaping shall <br /> be installed and maintained in accordance with the approved plan. <br />
