<br /> <br />-City marquee signs located throughout the City could be used to inform citizens of <br />the time change. However, those signs were usually oriented toward upcoming <br />events and there was a lot of competition for use of the signs. Notification for all <br />upcoming meetings would not be guaranteed. <br /> <br />-There would be no reason to distribute a calendar with meeting times indicated and <br />then change the time. It was suggested that the meeting time could be considered <br />again prior to printing of the 2015 calendar. <br /> <br />Public Comments <br /> <br />Mr. Michael Fowlkes 7360 Colgate Avenue, stated that if the time was changed, there <br />would be opportunities throughout the City to get the word out to citizens. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Salamon to approve the change for the Plan Commission <br />meeting time from 7:00 pm to 6:30 pm. The motion was seconded by Ms. Moran. The <br />motion failed by a vote of 1 in favor to 3 opposed. <br /> <br />7.b. Public Comments <br /> <br />Marva Pegues 1150 Glenside Lane, expressed concern over a lack of retail businesses in <br />contrast to restaurants on Olive Boulevard. <br /> <br />8. Reports <br /> <br />8.a. Code Review Committee Report <br />None <br /> <br />8.b. Comprehensive Plan Committee Report <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. Moran stated that applications were distributed City-wide for those interested in <br />serving on the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) for the Comprehensive <br />Plan Update process. She stated that many applications had been received and fifteen of <br />those had been selected and would be invited to serve on the CPAC and others would be <br />invited to serve on focus groups. She stated there would be Kick-Off meetings on May 6 <br />and May 7 that would be publicly announced. Everyone is welcome to attend those <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Lai stated that both meetings would be held at the Community Center and the May 6 <br />meeting would begin at 7:00 pm and the May 7 meeting would begin at 9:00 am. <br /> <br />Ms. Locke added that the Comprehensive Plan Update effort was meant to be a City-wide <br />effort and there would be many opportunities in the future to be involved. <br /> <br />8.c.
