MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City City Council of University City held on the fifth floor of <br />City Hall, on Monday, March 24, 2014, Mayor Shelley Welsch called the meeting to order <br />at 6:31 p.m. <br /> <br />B. ROLL CALL <br />In addition to the Mayor the following members of the City Council were present: <br /> <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Ms. Paulette Carr <br /> Mr. Stephen Kraft <br /> Mr. Terry Crow <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also in attendance was the City Manager Lehman Walker. <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch welcomed Valerie Hu a student of Washington University who is working <br />on a community project regarding University City. Signing for Ms. Hu was Melissa Grass <br />from Paraquad DEAF Way. <br /> <br />C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Mr. Sharpe stated that he would like to switch the two appointments for Samuel Jones <br />and Karen Culton; Mr. Jones should be nominated for the Plan Commission and Ms. <br />Culton to the Parks Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch stated that she would like to add Katerina Koenigs as an appointment to <br />the Youth Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert moved to approve the agenda as amended, seconded by Mr. Sharpe and the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />D. PROCLAMATIONS <br />th <br />1. <br />Proclamation for 120 anniversary of Bais Abraham congregation – St. Louis’ oldest <br />th <br />Orthodox Jewish Synagogue will celebrate its 120 Anniversary on March 30, 2014, <br />which shall also be declared as Bais Abraham Day in University City. After Mayor <br />Welsch read the proclamation, Councilmember Kraft presented the Proclamation to <br />Dalia Oppenheimer on behalf of the Bais Abraham congregation. <br /> <br />E. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />1. <br />March 10, 2014, City City Council Regular Session were moved for approval by Mr. <br />Sharpe, seconded by Mr. Glickert. <br /> <br /> <br />
