Property maintenance <br />2. Building <br />3. Mechanical <br />4. Plumbing <br />5. Electrical <br />6. Environmental <br />7. Animal enforcement <br />8. Zoning <br /> <br />The department also coordinates economic development activities; performs research; prepares <br />planning studies and GIS maps; oversees the maintenance and operation of City-owned buildings; <br />maintains and operates the municipal-owned parking garage; provides staff support for eleven <br />boards and commissions and makes recommendations regarding proposed City Council actions, <br />as well as the physical development of the City. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL <br />Ms. Riganti stated that there are no changes to personnel for FY15. <br />She stated that currently there are 33 full-time employees and that the department is authorized to <br />have 29 part-time employees. <br /> <br />FY15 GOALS <br />Ms. Riganti stated that they would continue to carryout the economic development work plan <br />activities for the City, which is a Retention, Expansion and Attraction (REA) effort. <br /> <br /> Expand/improve REA for Olive Boulevard <br /> <br /> Commencement of Comprehensive Plan update <br /> <br /> Neighborhood stabilization/housing in northeast portion of the community <br />Ms. Riganti stated that they have already completed some in-fill housing construction in partnership <br />with Habitat for Humanity and will be continuing those efforts. She stated that they have also been <br />discussing in-fill opportunities with other potential partners. <br /> <br /> <br /> Facility improvement plans for all City-owned buildings <br />Ms. Riganti stated that City Hall has some major challenges and at some point some tough <br />decisions will have to be made with respect to the needed improvements. She stated that there are <br />also major challenges with the Community Center. This is being mention in the Heman Park master <br />planning process. <br /> <br /> <br /> Improvements to inspection scheduling options <br /> <br /> Improve response time through the City’s on-line and telephonic systems <br /> <br /> Expand marketing and promotion of recreational facilities/programs <br /> <br />
