Traffic Commission 6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri 63130, Phone: (314) 505-8560, Fax: (314) 862-0694 CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY MINUTES OF THE TRAFFIC COMMISSION April 9, 2014 At the Traffic Commission meeting of University City held in the Heman Park Community Center, on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, Commissioner Carol Wofsey called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Commissioner Wofsey, the following members of the commission were present:  Robert Warbin  Jeff Hales  Eva Creer  Jackie Womack  Curtis Tunstall  Mark Barnes Also in attendance:  Public Works and Parks Liaison, Angelica Gutierrez  City Engineer, Sinan Alpaslan  Public Works Director, Rich Wilson  Police Department Representative P.O. Shaun Margul Members not present were:  Councilmember Paulette Carr (excused) Others present were:  Vicky Carmichael and Larry Pontious, representatives of the Trinity Presbyterian Church  Robert Bruce Lucas, resident at 7414 Carleton Ave 1. Agenda Items A. Accessible Parking Spaces on Kingsland Ave south of Washington Avenue Mrs. Vicky Carmichael, Church administrator presented the request to install five (5) accessible parking spaces on Kingsland Ave in front of the Trinity Presbyterian Church, located at 6800 Washington Avenue on Sundays from 8AM to 12PM. Mrs. Carmichael explained that church membership is about 257 members and of that number about 100 members are in regular attendance on Sundays. There is no parking lot at the Church. The Church has a parking agreement with Center of Contemporary Arts - COCA to allow the use of the parking lot during Sunday services. Traffic Commission Minutes – April 9, 2014 Page 1
